Mamey island Day Trip
Mamey island is a small Caribbean island located in the province of Colón, 115 km (2 hour drive) from Panama City. This island is perfect for getting away from the everyday routine and relaxing. Panamanians love it for it´s beautiful landscape and tropical clear water. To complement your day you also will visit the historic town of Portobelo. Here you will explore the historic forts which were attacked and nearly destroyed by pirates, take a walk around the town, visit the church of the Black Christ of Portobelo and learn about the Afro-Antillean culture.
