Contadora Island

Contadora was named as the place where the Spaniards had pearls collection operations in Panama before sending them to Spain .

In 1980 , the Shah of Persia ( now Iran) , Mohammad Reza Pahlavi , was briefly exiled on the island Contadora .

In the eighties , thanks to the Contadora Group , on the island of Contadora Peace Accords , which laid peace in Central America were signed.

Contadora Island is a place for nature-related activities. So you can make a snorkeling tours , sailing around the islands or visiting virgin islands, rent a paddle board , sail windsurfing or scuba diving enthusiasts , perform a dive out . For the more sedate , you can rent a golf cart to go around the island and relax on the beaches.
